Janet comes from a long line
of health care practitioners and healers. At an early age, she
was exposed to the healing power of touch.
Janet received her massage training
at the one of a kind Cayce/Reilly
School of Massotherapy in Virginia Beach. By combining the
health teachings of Edgar Cayce with the hands-on manipulations
of physiotherapist Dr Harold Reilly, she was provided an advanced
level of holistic education. Besides learning the basic Swedish
massage techniques, the curriculum emphasized the use of aromatherapy,
oils and, hydrotherapy. During her training, Janet became enthralled
with Asian body therapies. She has studied Tui
Na, Jin Shin Do & Shiatsu acupressure, plus reflexology.
After graduating in April
of 1993, she moved with her family to Arizona.
In July of 1999, she began working for the A.R.E.
clinic in Phoenix. This holistic health medical center provided
her the opportunity to work with people, of all ages, suffering
with a wide variety of health conditions. In her desire to bring
the healing power of massage to as many people as possible,
she has worked for local spas and goes on site to many Valley
corporations. In order to bring her clients the best possible
therapy she has continually expanded her education by receiving
additional training in Manual Lymphatic Drainage, TMJ disorders,
Deep Tissue massage, Reiki, Pregnancy massage, and Chair massage
techniques.
As a firm believer that health
and happiness go together, Janet practices Tai
Chi and Yoga, exercises regularly, drinks plenty of water
and most importantly receives massages frequently. She has currently
added juggling
to her routine to improve dexterity.
